2024 Sustainability Report

The 2024 Sustainability Report offers an overview of the actions undertaken and the performance achieved by Cherry Bank across the three ESG pillars (Environmental, Social, Governance).

Let’s explore the key points of the document, starting with our approach.

The three pillars of Sustainability

Our first Sustainability Plan—covering the 2023-2025 period— sets goals for projects aimed at fostering ESG governance and culture, driving process evolution, and progressively measuring progress.

It also addresses sustainability matters by focusing on the development of solutions to meet customer needs in terms of products, services, and proximity to local communities.

Cherry Core

Supporting customers by offering safe, efficient, and innovative products and services while responsibly managing the business.

Cherries

Safeguarding health, work-life balance, professional growth, and fostering an inclusive, fair, and non-discriminatory environment.

Cherry Planet

Managing environmental impacts, particularly those related to climate, and promoting change through sustainable finance, the creation of value for local communities, and the responsible management of suppliers.

Our approach:
from strategic listening to concrete actions

Listening is one of the core values in Cherry Bank’s Code of Ethics. It is taken into account for strategic purposes and to respond to the market with products and services tailored to its needs, for the development and updating of corporate policies, the continuous improvement of business processes, and the enhancement of tools made available to stakeholders.

For customers

For Cherry Bank, listening to customer needs is essential to inform strategic decisions.

This approach allows the Bank to continuously adapt its offer, improve internal processes, and proactively addresses the expectations of end users.

For cherries

Cherry Bank periodically engages its employees by keeping them informed and involved in corporate life and ongoing activities.

To this end, the Bank organizes engagement initiatives through specific tools (events, dedicated meetings, surveys, etc.) and holds regular meetings to gather useful insights for the improvement of internal business processes.

For environment and local communities

Cherry Bank’s strategy is guided by the 2023-2025 Sustainability Plan, which identifies stakeholder listening and engagement as key levers to steer both strategic decisions and the business model. In particular, the Bank promotes initiatives that address the most relevant social and environmental issues affecting local communities, with the goal of fulfilling its social responsibility in line with their needs and in accordance with the Bank’s values and principles.

Sustainability Report

The information is provided for the first time in accordance with the ESRS, as until the 2023 financial year the Bank disclosed its sustainability information on a voluntary basis and according to GRI Standards.

The policies, actions, metrics, and targets presented in this Sustainability Report have been identified in alignment with the outcomes of the double materiality assessment process1, which covered Cherry Bank’s entire value chain and its business relationships2.
